Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure in Colorado is seeking a Gas Meter Technician I to support meter exchanges and related gas utility work under supervision. This entry-level role includes hands-on training and exposure to SiteWise operations.

You will install meters and piping, perform meter testing and leak repair, maintain accurate logs, and keep worksites safe and organized. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years of residential plumbing or piping experience preferred; training up

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2+ years of Residential Plumbing, pipe fitting & repair experience (diagnosing & troubleshooting a normal plumbing system).
• Previous experience working with underground utilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs gas meters, regulators, piping and pipe fitting work with black iron pipe.
• Performs change-out of existing gas utility meters and installs upgraded gas utility meters.
• Performs gas leak repair including above ground meter sets.
• Keeps legible hand-written accurate records including daily work logs and installation records.
• Cleans and prepares meter worksites to eliminate possible hazards.
