Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks an entry-level Software Engineer to help deliver secure technology solutions. The role focuses on building software applications, integrating security into the SDLC, and improving DevXP for developers. Hybrid work with three days in the Columbus, OH office (Tues–Thu) is available.

You will learn to design and develop accelerators, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with teams to raise security across projects.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in computer science, MIS or related degrees preferred.
• 1+ year of technology experience or applicable non-traditional certificates may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, document, and deploy software per engineering standards and best practices.
• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and systems.
• Use DevSecOps practices, tooling, and techniques.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement and learning.
• Review and process project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively.
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
