Safeway in Beaverton, Oregon seeks a Front-End Team Member to help create a smooth and friendly checkout experience. You’ll assist customers, process payments, and keep the front end organized and well stocked throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service skills, basic math, and a flexible schedule. Prior cashier training is a plus, with benefits and weekly pay offered as part of our team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on state) to work in a retail role.
• Completion of cashier/front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and clear communication skills required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Scan items, bag groceries, and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
• Keep front-end area organized, clean, and stocked as needed.
• Assist with cart retrieval, stocking, and general front-end upkeep.
• Handle pricing questions and troubleshoot simple checkout issues.
