Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Front-End Team Member to ensure a smooth checkout experience and friendly service for customers. You will scan items, bag groceries, answer questions, and handle transactions accurately in a fast-paced store environment.

You will also maintain the front end, restock supplies, collect carts, and assist with general front-end upkeep throughout your shift, with a schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ per local/state rule).
• Completion of cashier/front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a smooth, positive checkout experience for customers.
• Scan items, bag groceries, answer questions, and process transactions accurately.
• Keep the front end organized, clean, and running throughout the day.
