Bell & Evans in Fredericksburg, PA is seeking a Laboratory Technician I on the 1st shift to perform routine microbiological, chemical, and organoleptic testing to support Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Hatchery, Live Operations, and Research & Development.

This entry-level role emphasizes developing foundational laboratory skills, accurately executing established procedures, and contributing to daily lab operation and upkeep.

Qualifikationen

Bachelor’s, Associate’s degree, or certificate in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.
Basic proficiency in laboratory techniques.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and communication tools.
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
ISO 17025 or LIMS experience preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

Routine Microbiological and Chemical Testing: Perform qualitative and quantitative microbial analyses and basic chemical analyses (moisture, fat, protein, ash, pH, etc.).
New Product Development Support: Participate in sensory analyses and shelf-life studies.
Laboratory Operations: Maintain inventory, prepare media and reagents, monitor instruments, follow cleaning schedules.
Quality & Compliance: Follow GLPs, participate in proficiency testing, and document results; assist with audits and internal projects.
