Job summary

Kevin’s Natural Foods in Stockton, CA is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and equipment inspections within a food manufacturing environment.

Under direct supervision you will assist with troubleshooting, changeovers, and equipment setup, while following GMPs, LOTO, HazCom, and Cal/OSHA requirements. The shift is Wed-Sun, 5:00am-1:30pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Basic computer literacy for completing work orders and maintenance logs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on production, packaging, and facility equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on food processing and packaging equipment.
• Replace and adjust belts, bearings, seals, motors, and other basic components as directed.
• Follow all safety policies including LOTO, HazCom, and Cal/OSHA requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation.
• Clean, lubricate, and inspect machinery per preventive maintenance schedules.
• Support production teams during line changeovers, startups, and equipment setups.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or equipment malfunctions to supervision.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
