Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. in Michigan seeks an entry-level packer to inspect pre-cooked products, assemble and package items to line standards, and stack finished cases on pallets in a cold production environment.

You?ll handle lifting up to 50 pounds, follow GMP and SSOP procedures, wear PPE, and work with a team to maintain product quality and on-time shipping, while adhering to safety policies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and self-driven.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in a food manufacturing plant is preferred.
• Prefer High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and pack products to line standards.
• Lift and move cases up to 50 pounds.
• Check packaging for damage and report non-compliant products.
• Perform line sanitation and monitor packing equipment.
• Ensure correct pallet labeling and sealing of bags/boxes.
• Adjust tape machine for different case sizes.
• Maintain speed and adapt to different line speeds.
• Follow GMP and GMP-related practices.
