Job summary

TrueNorth Recovery is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanic to start a career in fleet maintenance. You’ll receive hands-on training, work on a mixed tow-truck fleet, and learn to service hydraulic systems on Dodge Ram 4500 chassis and Jerr-Dan tow gear.

After 90 days, you’ll transition to night shift with continued training and potential pay review based on performance. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered in a supportive environment in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Professional, vocational school, or personal hands-on experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on a mixed fleet of tow trucks.
• Learn to service Dodge Ram 4500 chassis and Jerr-Dan towing systems, including hydraulics.
• Service tow dollies and towing equipment.
• Perform routine service: oil changes, brakes, tires, lights, fluids, inspections.
• Help diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline vehicles under supervision.
• Keep shop and parts area organized and maintain maintenance records.
