Job summary

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Valid South Carolina driver's license with CDL or ability to obtain CDL within four months.
Evaluate, diagnose and repair routine maintenance problems and report major issues to supervisor.
Maintain records of all services and repairs.
Must obtain/maintain qualifications for school bus inspections.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled mechanical duties in maintenance and repair of school bus and fleet vehicles.
Have working knowledge of engines (diesel and gas), transmissions and brakes.
Keep records of all services and repairs.
Practice safety and preventive maintenance in all work.
Perform repairs on small engines, lawnmowers, generators and tractors.
Respond to service calls to determine problem severity and perform repairs.
