Paragon Leasing, LP is seeking an entry-level Fleet Equipment Inspector at the Dallas terminal to perform initial inspections of tractor and trailer units as they enter the yard and final inspections before departure.

No prior repair experience required, but basic mechanical knowledge is a plus. This role offers an opportunity to start a diesel mechanic career with Stevens Transport's Paragon Leasing team.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• General understanding of mechanical/technical terms.
• Experience working on brakes.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to clearly read, write and speak English.
• Basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greeting drivers on the yard in a timely, friendly manner.
• Performing multi-point walk around inspections of all units.
• Verifying vehicle identification and recording mileage.
• Assessing exterior damage and defects, including condition of tires, frame and mechanical components.
• Checking oil and coolant levels, air filter restriction and tire pressure.
• Data entry.
• Ensuring full compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA standards.
