Job summary

Qualifications

• CPAT certification and EMT-B are required.
• Firefighter I/II certification is required.
• Must maintain EMT-B and NIMS 700.
• RIT training is preferred.
• Hazardous Materials First Responder certification required or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire emergencies, operate hoses and pumps.
• Enter structures for firefighting and rescue operations.
• Administer first aid and treat injured persons.
• Climb ladders and navigate buildings during fires.
• Maintain and inspect assigned equipment and gear.
• Participate in drills and training sessions.
• Assist with public education and inspections.
• Support pre-plans and department operations.
