Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an Assembler to read, interpret, and execute assembly instructions for firearm components. The role involves on-site work, using hand tools, and following safety and quality procedures to prepare parts for testing and final assembly.

The ideal candidate may have a GED or high school diploma, with a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment. 8- to 12-hour shifts may apply depending on production needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or related experience.
  • Typically requires no previous experience.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Some experience reading drawings is helpful.
  • Able to work in a team environment, share information, respect and assist other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
  • Assembers are responsible for all department-related assembly tasks as directed by the Lead/Supervisor or appointed representative.
  • Product assembly includes, but is not limited to, part prep, slide/frame assembly, configuration modification, firearm assembly, packaging, and magazine assembly.
  • All assembly tasks are performed per written and verbal instructions.
  • Use of small hand tools and machinery with safety awareness.
  • Participates in 5S workplace organization and maintain area.
  • May work in other areas or facilities as needed.
  • May work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
