Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Finance Analyst to support a project’s accounting and finance functions in the South Central District. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, payables/receivables, and compliance, becoming proficient with project-wide financial processes.

You will participate in the month-end close and assist in preparing financial reports for project management. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, plus strong Excel skills and a willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of financial/data analysis experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience using Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance.
• Support month-end close process and prepare financial reporting packages for project management.
• Learn and apply processes for cost and revenue components (labor, equipment, materials, subcontracts).
• Understand payroll and HR workflow and the systems used to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees.
• Monitor purchasing workflow internal controls and ensure accuracy of cost reporting.
