Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, temperature, and cylinder testing, and verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge. Entry level with paid certification sponsorship.

You’ll travel to project sites, work outdoors, and report results the same day. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance to senior technicians and project oversight.

Qualifications

• No experience required for entry level; structured training provided.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• We sponsor certifications (ACI Field Grade I, NICET I/II, nuclear gauge safety).

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge calibration, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
