Job summary

Bowman in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator to join our field team. You will set up and operate total-station, GPS, level, and data-collector equipment to support boundary, topography, ALTA, and right-of-way surveys.

Working under supervision, you will perform survey calculations, stakeout, and assist the field supervisor while ensuring safety and accurate data collection. Travel and overtime may be required; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; commensurate experience considered.
• College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying.
• Entry level; no prior experience required; any survey/construction experience a plus.
• Prior Instrument Operator experience preferred.
• Familiar with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
• Ability to work outside in all seasons.
• Travel and overtime required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate survey equipment including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS.
• Perform survey calculations and stakeout surveys.
• Conduct boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys.
• Maintain equipment and keep survey vehicle stocked.
• Coordinate and train subordinate personnel.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed daily.
