Job summary

August Mack Environmental, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Field Scientist to support environmental field operations in the Columbus area.

Under guidance from senior staff, you will conduct groundwater and soil sampling, assist with Phase I/II assessments, and gain exposure to stormwater sampling and industrial hygiene inspections. The role emphasizes safety, accurate field documentation, and coordination with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field; or high school diploma with construction/labor experience.
• 0-1 year of experience in environmental consulting.
• Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform groundwater, soil, and vapor intrusion sampling under supervision.
• Assist with Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Coordinate field activities and subcontractors on projects.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and safety protocols.
