Job summary

August Mack Environmental is seeking an Entry Level Field Scientist to support environmental field operations across diverse project types in Columbus/Lewis Center, OH. Under guidance from senior staff, you will perform task-oriented fieldwork, including groundwater and soil sampling, site assessments, and basic health and safety oversight.

This role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork as you gain hands-on experience with Phase I/II ESAs, stormwater sampling, and remedial construction

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related science field, or a high school diploma with construction or labor experience.
0–1 year of experience in environmental consulting.
Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform task-oriented fieldwork with instruction.
Assist with groundwater and soil sampling.
Support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
Coordinate subcontractors and promote site safety.
Document field data and project paperwork.
