Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking an entry-level Geologist to join our Environmental business line in Providence, Rhode Island. The role focuses on field sampling of soil, groundwater, and related media, with chemistry, hydrology, and math applications. You will support project managers and subcontractors on Federal projects.

Required qualifications include a Geology-related Bachelor's degree and a valid U.S. driver's license. Candidates must pass background checks and be able to travel across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related discipline or demonstrated equivalency.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites and offices.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and background checks for US government credentials.

Responsibilities

• Apply field practices and collect samples (soil, groundwater, soils) and prepare for shipment.
• Oversee laboratories and subcontractors involved in sampling and drilling.
• Prepare basic data, documents and technical report writing.
• Travel to multiple US job sites and support field staff and managers.
