Job summary

Roux Consulting is seeking an Environmental Technician to perform field tasks at project sites, including remediation system operation and construction oversight. Most sites are in Midland, TX, with occasional travel to Hobbs, NM. The role requires teamwork and the ability to work outdoors year-round.

You will support environmental compliance, collect samples, monitor system performance, and supervise subcontractors. Training is provided for certifications; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Strong mechanical skills with hand/power tools and equipment.
• Understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations.
• Willingness to support project teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work and move around outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license to travel between worksites.
• Preferred: remediation systems experience.
• Preferred: construction oversight and inspections experience.
• Preferred: familiarity with environmental equipment and sampling techniques.
• Preferred: OSHA 40 HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour Refresher.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of construction activities with emphasis on environmental compliance and health and safety.
• Assistance with site remediation system operations and maintenance.
• Inspection of system equipment to evaluate remedial system performance and identify malfunctions.
• Maintenance of system components to ensure proper operation and compliance.
• Collection of samples from monitoring wells and recovery wells.
• Collecting, recording, and evaluating system performance data.
• Oversight and supervision of subcontractors involved in environmental remediation and system maintenance and repairs.
