Job summary

Roux Consulting seeks an Environmental Technician to perform field tasks at project sites, including operation and maintenance of remediation systems and sampling of environmental media. Projects will primarily be in the Rochester, NY metropolitan market, with possible regional travel.

Applicants should have an associates degree in an environmental, civil, construction or related discipline and either three years’ experience or five years’ experience in field technical services.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with site remediation system operations and maintenance activities.
• Inspecting system equipment to evaluate remedial performance and identify malfunctions.
• Collecting samples from monitoring wells, recovery wells, soil and soil gas.
• Documenting work performed and communicating with project managers.
• Oversight of subcontractors involved in environmental remediation and system maintenance.
