Job summary

Kleinfelder’s Austin, Texas office is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer. You will perform concrete sampling, testing, and field observations to verify conformance with plans and specifications. The role requires initiative, teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Responsibilities include daily reports, basic engineering calculations under supervision, and helping achieve project objectives. A valid TX driver’s license is required and some travel may occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology.
• EIT or GIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0 to 3 years' experience in geotechnical-related engineering field.
• Must have valid TX Driver's License.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying weather conditions, traverse uneven terrain, and stand for extended periods.

Kleinfelder's Austin, Texas office is currently seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to join the team!

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The field engineer will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor. Duties will include concrete sampling and testing, nuclear moisture density testing, reinforcing steel observations, and more complex observation and inspection duties.

Working well in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment is a must. Strong communication skills are necessary to succeed in this role.

Role and Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities include:

Required Certifications include (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire):

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
• Radiation Safety (nuclear density gauge: Troxler, CPN, Instrotek)
• Texas Department of Transportation Testing Certifications
