Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Cedar Creek, TX is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing Technician. Training will be provided, with opportunities to become certified, working on-site at construction sites and labs.

This role performs field tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, and monitors piles to document capacity and performance, with safety procedures and on-call hours. Full-time employment with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Construction or Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation; a truck is preferred for the incentive program
• Ability to pass a DISA drug screen
• Ability to pass a background check
• TWIC card (preferred)
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" type schedule and must be willing to work obscure hours

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and casting cylinders for compressive strength)
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blows counts
• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all times
• Follow all company's procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
• Arrive at the job site on time each day
• Communicate with dispatch daily
• Communicate with onsite clients and relay information to management
