Frederick County Government seeks an entry‑level Maintenance Technician I to support building systems maintenance and renovations across county facilities. You will perform routine tasks under supervision, using basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVACR skills while following safety practices.

Job duties include following work orders, assisting with renovations, and handling tools and equipment. A valid driver's license is required, and the role offers full benefits with standard county

Qualifications

• High school graduation or the equivalency.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and follow basic building plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVACR.
• Perform general laborer tasks and support renovation projects.
• Follow prescribed work orders and blueprints to complete tasks accurately.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools.
• Transport and install equipment as required using lifts and other machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report safety concerns.
