Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Lake Orion, MI is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support facility teams in repairing, maintaining and improving large-scale manufacturing spaces. You will gain exposure to HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building systems while developing practical technical skills in a union environment.

You’ll assist with repairs, installations and preventive maintenance, perform minor repairs, and help keep facilities safe, clean and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–3 years of related work experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn maintenance trades.
• Ability to interpret manuals, wiring diagrams and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist repairs and installations of facility items, systems and components.
• Perform painting tasks and general facility/grounds maintenance.
• Install parts and equipment to keep facilities safe and operating.
• Clean gutters and perform minor repairs for drainage and safety.
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely while maintaining inventory.
• Request supplies and respond to emergencies to support the team.
• Work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as needed.
