Job summary

HellermannTyton North America is seeking an entry-level Extrusion/Punch Technician I to support safe, efficient operation of an Extrusion Machine or Punch Press and to produce high-quality products. You will monitor processes, conduct inspections, and perform routine maintenance with supervision while learning from the team and supervisor.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow work instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop orders.
• Forklift experience preferred and ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read measuring tools such as a tape measure and caliper.
• Possess a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Help monitor process operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections.
• Report equipment issues to lead or supervisor as needed.
• Learn to troubleshoot minor equipment issues on a Punch Press or Extrusion.
• Machine and support resolution.
• Perform grinding tasks as required by production specifications.
• Learn work instructions including machine setup, materials, downstream needs, and packaging.
• Learn to read work orders to determine Part # and materials.
• Learn to set machine and process parameters for optimal performance of a Punch Press or Extrusion Machine
• Learn complete tooling setup, cleaning, and storage of a Punch Press or Extrusion Machine
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Housekeeping as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
