Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a range of equipment, from aerial work platforms to pumps and HVAC units, in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of technician experience; knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems is valued, and some locations may require bilingual abilities. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position with on-site work across various makes and models.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1–3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in a safe, efficient manner to minimize downtime.
• Work with a variety of makes, models & equipment such as Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems in diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies while on site.
