Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support regional construction and mining operations. You will help plan, schedule, and budget an equipment fleet while improving reliability and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

This role offers exposure to the Mining District and involves travel to multiple sites, with work in both office and field environments as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• 1+ year of equipment experience preferred.
• 1+ year of equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting preferred.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required.
• Ability to work in office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Material handling and procurement.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspections of equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and communication.
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Planning and paperwork processing for critical lifts.
• Use data to increase equipment availability and reliability.
• Support maintenance technicians with parts and scheduling.
• Specialty projects as needed.
