Job summary

Kiewit Mining Group is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support Regional Construction & Mining operations. You will plan, schedule, budget, and manage a fleet to improve reliability and implement preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, coordinating logistics, and supporting maintenance teams while relocating as projects require across the mining district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology or a related field.
• 1+ year of equipment experience preferred.
• 1+ year of equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting preferred.
• Willingness to travel and relocate.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
• CAD modeling knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Material handling and procurement.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspections of equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and communication.
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Planning and paperwork processing to prepare for critical lifts.
• Use reliability and failure analysis data to increase equipment availability and reliability.
• Establish and maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management.
• Support of craft maintenance technicians - ordering parts, schedule crews, and manage quality and safety.
• Specialty projects as needed.
