Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking an entry-level Scientist to join our Glastonbury, CT team. You will contribute to soil, water, air, and sediment sampling, data collection, and environmental reporting across diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with senior staff to gain hands-on experience, engage in field and reporting tasks, and pursue professional growth within a well-established, award-winning firm that supports career development and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
• 0-2 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Light construction experience/ hands-on skills a plus.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Collect soil, water, air, stormwater and/or sediment samples.
• Assist with due diligence (ASTM Phase I) projects.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Assist with wetland delineation and natural resource permitting projects.
• Develop your career growth with field and reporting tasks.
• Work with staff and management-level team members on field and reporting responsibilities.
