Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This position offers graduates a path to apply engineering skills to innovative water projects and to grow within a dynamic team.

You will design and support water and wastewater facilities, perform site assessments, and contribute to reports and client presentations, using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD and Excel. A Bachelor’s degree is required; travel up to 10% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years travel; travel up to 10% may be required.
• Equivalent additional related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
• Operating under direct supervision, ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Conduct site assessments, adjust design parameters as needed, and conduct water quality analyses and modeling.
• Contribute to technical report preparation, documentation, and collaborate on presentations for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Assist in creating documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software.
• Participate in fieldwork supporting our construction management activities, providing a comprehensive project lifecycle experience.
