Job summary

Indium Corporation in Clinton, NY seeks an Engineering Technician I to provide hands-on technical support in design, development, assembly and test phases for process equipment and instrumentation.

You will assist engineering staff, prepare drawings and procedures, handle measurement equipment, and help with data collection for ROI and process improvement. The role requires independence, strong communication, and a proactive work approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree in technical field preferred.
• 2 years of related experience; equivalent education may be considered.
• Hands-on mechanical knowledge and experience required.
• Experience with design applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Clear, organized and professional communication; high energy and drive.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering during assembly, test and qualification of equipment and systems.
• Prepare simple assembly drawings, layouts, specifications and procedures.
• Use standard test equipment to evaluate and document performance of components and systems.
• Gather data for ROI cost analysis, process efficiency and tolerancing studies.
• Provide hands-on assembly, troubleshooting and repair of components and final systems.
• Collaborate effectively with team and complete assigned special projects.
