Job summary

Turner Construction in Seattle is hiring an entry-level Engineering Assistant to support the Special Projects Division and other units. You will assist with shop drawings, RFIs, estimates, and document control as part of a fast-paced construction team.

The role emphasizes collaboration, effective communication, and scheduling awareness, with varying onsite activities and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or relevant education.
• Demonstrate initiative and desire to learn.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in obtaining and reviewing information for processing shop drawings, product data, and samples.
• Assist in managing communications including RFIs and responses.
• Assist in preparing estimates for changes in work and reviewing Change Orders.
• Study contract drawings and specs to ensure proper coordination.
• Update contract documents and project logs.
• Support materials release for fabrication to meet construction schedule.
