Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking motivated engineers with 0-4 years of experience to support engineering and design work for natural gas projects along the east coast. The role offers flexibility to be based out of Greenville, Charleston, or Columbia, South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Experience on natural gas, LNG or water/wastewater utility projects a plus.
• A strong skill set with AutoCAD or other 3D CAD software is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the permitting, design and construction phases of gas distribution, pipeline, and LNG facility projects in any geographic region.
• Prepare engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
• Visit job sites to perform field tests, data gathering, field inspections, and construction observation.
• Office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with multiple staff members in a team environment.
• Work on a variety of energy projects at any given time with emphasis on natural gas and LNG.
