Job summary

Weston & Sampson, an employee-owned firm, is seeking engineers with 0-4 years of experience to support gas distribution, pipeline and LNG projects. The role can be based out of Greenville, Charleston, or Columbia, SC. The team focuses on energy projects that improve and protect communities.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, may have EIT, and should have a strong CAD capability. The position offers field and office work with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Experience on natural gas, LNG or water/wastewater utility projects a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Some overtime and local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support permitting, design and construction phases of gas distribution, pipeline, and LNG facility projects in multiple geographic regions.
• Prepare engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
• Visit job sites to perform field tasks, data gathering, inspections and construction observation.
• Perform office work including design, data review, data management and technical report preparation.
• Collaborate in a multidiscipline team environment and manage multiple projects as workload allows.

Salary Range: $72,000.00 To $78,000.00 Annually

Weston & Sampson is seeking motivated engineers with 0-4 years of experience to perform engineering and design work to support the execution of natural gas projects along the east coast of the Unites States. The location of the position is flexible and can be based out of Greenville, Charleston, or Columbia South Carolina.

Our growing Energy Practice seeks thoughtful and innovative individuals who truly want to make a difference enhancing, protecting and sustaining the natural and built environment to improve the quality of life.

What you’ll do:

• Support the permitting, design and construction phases of gas distribution and pipeline, and LNG facility projects in any of our geographic regions.
• Responsible for the preparation of engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
• Visit job sites to perform project tasks including, field tests, data gathering, field inspections, and construction observation.
• Office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
• Work in a multidiscipline team and collaborate with multiple staff members in a team environment.
• Work on a variety of energy projects at any given time as workload requires but an emphasis will be placed on natural gas and LNG related projects.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Experience on natural gas, LNG or water/wastewater utility projects a plus.
• A strong skill set with AutoCAD or other 3D CAD software is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Some overtime and local travel may be required.
• Possess high ethical standards and committed to producing high quality work with a commitment to learning, teamwork, respect, and integrity.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $78,000 based on education
