Job summary

Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc. seeks motivated engineers with 0-4 years of experience to support engineering and design work for natural gas projects along the east coast of the United States. The position is flexible and can be based out of Greenville, Charleston, or Columbia, South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Experience on natural gas, LNG or water/wastewater utility projects is a plus.
• Strong skill set with AutoCAD or other 3D CAD software is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Some overtime and local travel may be required.
• Possesses high ethical standards and commitment to learning, teamwork, respect, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support the permitting, design and construction phases of gas distribution and pipeline, and LNG facility projects in any of our geographic regions.
• Responsible for the preparation of engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
• Visit job sites to perform project tasks including field tests, data gathering, field inspections, and construction observation.
• Office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
• Work in a multidiscipline team and collaborate with multiple staff members in a team environment.
• Work on a variety of energy projects at any given time as workload requires, with emphasis on natural gas and LNG related projects.

The location of the position is flexible and can be based out of Greenville, Charleston, or Columbia South Carolina.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $78,000 based on education
