Job summary

Young Community Developers is hiring an Employment Specialist I in San Francisco to deliver direct employment services and support participants through intake, assessments, job search, and referrals. You will collaborate with program staff, facilitate workshops, and help participants progress toward industry pathways.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, compliance, and ongoing professional development, with a mission to empower underserved communities in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• 0-2 years of equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in workforce development, employment coaching, social services, case management, recruiting, or community-based services preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite; willingness to learn Salesforce, WFC, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 60-100 clients annually (RRL and Restorative).
• Conduct intake and basic assessments; assist in developing employment plans.
• Provide job search assistance, resume support, and interview coaching.
• Connect participants to referrals and resources in multiple career pathways.
• Document progress and maintain case records; provide follow-up support.
