Job summary

Emerson seeks an entry-level EMC Engineer I to join the Compliance Engineering team. This role supports testing and product development to ensure compliance with global EMC standards.

You will work with CISPR/IEC/EN/FCC standards, assist with emissions and immunity testing, and help with root-cause investigations in a hands-on lab environment. This position is ideal for a recent EE graduate seeking practical exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience.
• Strong background in analog circuit design, electromagnetics, signals and systems, and electronic measurements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EMC testing to CISPR, IEC, EN, FCC and international standards.
• Assist with radiated and conducted emissions testing.
• Support immunity testing including ESD, EFT, surge, radiated and conducted immunity.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports.
• Support product development teams with compliance risk assessments and design recommendations.
• Troubleshoot EMC failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Operate EMC laboratory equipment including EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, antennas and RF systems.
• Support global certification activities.
