Job summary

Schneider Electric in North Haven, CT is seeking an Entry-Level Electromechanical Test Technician to support testing and validation of electromechanical systems. You will perform functional, environmental, and safety tests, assisting with actuators, sensors, power systems, and control equipment under engineers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electrical/ electromechanical field.
• Foundational knowledge of three-phase systems and AC/DC theory.
• Exposure to electrical safety practices and schematics reading.
• Willingness to learn testing processes and document results.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, environmental, and safety testing on electromechanical products and systems.
• Assist with evaluation of electrical components, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
• Support testing of AC and DC power systems, including three-phase equipment.
• Collect, record, and organize test data and results.
• Identify basic performance issues and communicate findings to engineering teams.
• Utilize testing equipment and diagnostic tools to support validation.
• Follow procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate test documentation and reports.
• Assist with troubleshooting and root cause investigations under senior guidance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and testing processes.
• Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
