Job summary

TRC, Member of WSP, is hiring entry level Test Technicians to support client teams nationwide. Candidates will conduct electrical, electronic and mechanical tests under supervision and gain extensive in-house training. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent training and experience.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment with initiative.
• Basic knowledge of AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to learn test equipment software and document results.
• Willingness to travel out of town for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply industry testing and commissioning standards (IEEE, NETA).
• Provide high level customer service and maintain professional relationships.
• Prepare detailed daily/weekly/project reports including test results.
• Perform tests on electrical equipment: transformers, relays, breakers, control systems.
• Assist engineers and technicians during commissioning and startup.
• Participate in project meetings and identify risk mitigation steps.
• Ensure safety and proper documentation of test records.
