Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking an entry-level Electrical Designer in the Renewables group. This role can be performed remotely or from Lakewood, Colorado, and involves supporting SCADA design under the supervision of a senior engineer.

The position requires an Associate degree in drafting or related field, 0–1 years of experience, and AutoCAD proficiency is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office is also expected. Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or related field preferred.
• 0–1 year of relevant engineering design or similar experience.
• AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed design and draws SCADA system diagrams and panels.
• Supports CAD standard development across engineering and design teams.
• Checks work for quality and accuracy on assigned tasks.
• Assists with client communications and project documentation.
• Maintains strong client relationships and cross-group support.
