Job summary

ESPEC North America, Inc. in Hudsonville, MI is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to design electrical systems for environmental test chambers. You will develop schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical, and ensure reliable, cost‑effective solutions.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering and up to two years of relevant experience are required; strong math, MS Office skills, and teamwork are valued. You’ll contribute to new chamber designs and join a collaborative, quality‑driven engineering

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships.
  • Must be able to perform basic electrical engineering calculations (voltage, current, heater, and transformer).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Email.
  • Previous experience with AutoCAD Electrical is required.

Responsibilities

  • Modifies existing schematic and panel layout designs.
  • Possesses knowledge of Bill of Materials structures and basic ERP functionality to fulfill duties.
  • Designs and releases electrical assemblies and drawings using AutoCAD Electrical per standards.
  • Assists with basic chamber modifications and options.
  • Uses the ENA problem-solving process to correct errors in outputs.
  • Follows engineering procedures and ISO standards.
