Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking an Engineer I to support engineering projects under supervision. The role focuses on calculations, technical documentation, design development, and project execution while building a foundation in engineering principles and client standards.

The position offers an entry-level pathway with mentorship, exposure to CAD/GIS tools, and potential field visits as part of project support in a dynamic utility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution (required).
• 0–2 years of engineering experience; internship or co‑op preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles and basic calculations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn CAD, GIS, and client systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with calculations, analyses, and design activities under supervision.
• Support development of drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and deliverables.
• Prepare project documentation, scopes, schedules, and material lists.
• Review project information and perform routine engineering tasks with accuracy.
• Participate in design reviews and QA/QC processes to learn procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, drafters, and project managers to support execution.
• Learn client standards, procedures, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with field investigations, site visits, or commissioning as needed.
