Actalent is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer in Waukesha, WI, to evaluate and troubleshoot returned electronic generator controllers using diagnostic procedures and test equipment. You will document findings and support warranty decisions, gaining practical experience early in your career.

Ideal candidates have basic EE knowledge and hands-on lab exposure from coursework, internships, or co-ops, with a strong focus on safety and accurate measurements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience with multimeter or voltmeter for electrical measurements.
• Able to interpret oscilloscope waveforms.
• Comfort probing circuit boards safely.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot returned controllers.
• Follow a 12-page diagnostic procedure with test points.
• Use DMM or voltmeter and oscilloscope for measurements.
• Read electrical schematics to locate probe points on PCBs.
• Compare measurements with expected results.
• Determine whether a unit is damaged and its likely cause.
• Run automated tests to support diagnostics.
• Document results and conclusions for warranty decisions.
• Escalate complex failures to Electrical Engineer.
• Maintain safety and proper test equipment use.
