General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an Entry‑Level Electrical Engineer in Department 457 to support a wide range of electrical systems and equipment aboard submarines. Mentorship will guide you as responsibilities grow and you gain independence.

You will work on reactor plant instrumentation, power generation, distribution, and support systems, collaborating with design teams and program offices to meet fleet needs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–5 years of post‑graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.

Aufgaben

• Design & Modernization: perform initial system and component design upgrades for ship alterations and life cycle support.
• Project Engineering: act as a project engineer overseeing engineering tasks and technical quality.
• Technical Problem Solving: evaluate and resolve questions from Naval Shipyards and NAVSEA offices.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: interface with design teams, other engineering disciplines, writers, buyers, and program office reps.
• Stakeholder Communication: communicate within the organization and with NAVSEA, primes, Navy yards, and vendors.
• Project Management: work in a team with strict schedule and budget awareness.
