Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer for a hands-on role in Plano, TX. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on full-motion ground station antennas, gaining hands-on experience with motion control, embedded systems, motors, and servo drives throughout the product lifecycle.

This early-career role emphasizes learning from senior engineers, performing design reviews, and supporting system integration and field installations. Domestic and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, theories, and processes.
• Foundational understanding of control systems, electronics, and embedded systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25-40%).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and control systems for full-motion ground station antennas and related equipment.
• Design, integrate, and test analog and digital electronics, wiring, harnesses, and connectorization for servo and RF systems.
• Develop, tune, and troubleshoot PID control loops and embedded C applications for motion-control systems.
• Support the development and documentation of electrical and control system architectures using CAN bus or similar protocols.
• Integrate and test motors, servo drives, encoders, and other motion-control components.
• Plan assigned engineering tasks and coordinate with multiple work groups.
