Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Houston seeks an Associate Engineer, Electrical with 0–5 years of experience to design and support electrical systems for LNG facilities and power infrastructure. The role emphasizes multi-disciplinary coordination, power system analysis, and vendor document reviews.

Based in the electrical design office, you will contribute to load flow, short circuit, and protection studies while ensuring compliance with NEC/IEEE/IEC standards. Office-based with potential site travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience in industrial, power generation, or LNG facility design.
• Experience in power systems and/or LNG projects preferred.
• Basic knowledge of MV/HV systems and industrial power distribution.
• Familiarity with power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM).

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of MV, LV, and HV electrical systems for LNG and power facilities.
• Prepare and review electrical deliverables: single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules.
• Perform power system studies: load flow, short circuit, motor starting, grounding studies.
• Assist with relay settings calculations and protection philosophy development.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, I&C, and civil teams; review vendor documents.
• Support design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews.
