Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join the Buildings team in Dallas or Fort Worth, TX. You’ll assist with calculations, drawings and specifications for federal clients, collaborating under the supervision of Professional Engineers and building proficiency in tools like Revit and AutoCAD.

You’ll gain hands-on experience on building electrical systems, power distribution and lighting, while enjoying a hybrid work model and mentorship for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• EIT or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering calculations, construction drawings and specs for federal projects.
• Coordinate with architectural and engineering trades under senior staff guidance.
• Design building electrical distribution, lighting, grounding, power and equipment connections.
• Progress from basic design tasks to more complex projects with a technical team.
