CommScope is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join a small, highly collaborative team focused on copper Ethernet cabling, hybrid fiber power solutions, and powered communications for enterprise and data centers.

This entry-level role targets a recent graduate with 0–2 years of experience, offering exposure to product development, lab testing, electrical analysis, standards-driven engineering, and real-world troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–2 years of professional engineering experience or equivalent exposure (internships, co-ops, projects).
• Fundamental understanding of circuit analysis, AC/DC power fundamentals, electromagnetics, and signal integrity concepts.
• Interest in hands-on laboratory work involving prototypes, measurements, data collection, and troubleshooting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and evaluation of hybrid fiber power, fault-managed power, and powered communications systems.
• Assist with electrical modeling, simulation, and laboratory measurement of cables and system-level performance.
• Develop and execute engineering test plans to validate performance, reliability, safety, and compliance.
• Conduct laboratory testing including electrical, thermal, environmental, and EMC evaluations under senior guidance.
• Collect, organize, and analyze test data using tools like Excel, MATLAB, Python.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and product management teams.
