Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering New Graduate in Germantown, MD to work with experienced engineers on hands-on design, analysis, and project execution with mentorship. You will contribute to government/municipal and science & technology markets, aligning with energy-efficient design standards.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and Engineering in Training (EIT) or equivalent, with up to 5% travel and sponsorship as a federal contractor.

Qualifications

• BS/Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT or equivalent required.
• Strong design and analytical skills for electrical systems in buildings.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of electrical systems to produce designs, specs and calculations.
• Support project teams with planning and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress with senior staff.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and develop practical solutions.
• Contribute to IMEG quality control to ensure standards and client requirements.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in electrical design.
• Prioritize safety and assist in identifying risks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
