Job summary

IMEG Corp is seeking a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate in Germantown, MD for Summer 2027. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on design, analysis, and project execution experience supporting mechanical systems with mentorship.

You will work on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for government and science/tech facilities, in an in‑office schedule with up to 5% travel, and pursue growth through a structured development program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specs.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems per codes and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand project needs and communicate technical information clearly.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Support execution of consulting projects as part of a project team.
• Assist with project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions while tracking progress.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Adhere to IMEG quality standards and safety practices.
